Held from September 18 to 20, the election saw a turnout of 59.3%, which Putin interpreted as a demonstration of citizens’ support for ongoing policies, including the military campaign in Ukraine.
Preliminary results from the election indicate that the ruling United Russia party secured a significant victory, capturing more than 57% of the vote.
