LG Electronics Expands in Robotics and B2B Appliances for Economic Growth

by admin477351

LG Electronics is charting a course towards significant growth by focusing on robotic actuators and business-to-business appliances. These new ventures could soon lead to substantial orders from major global tech firms. The company has engineered actuators that are more lightweight, efficient, and cost-effective, and is gearing up for their mass production. Currently, LG is in the midst of negotiations with several significant technology companies and is optimistic about securing its first major order in the near future.

Earlier this year, LG introduced its LG Axium actuator brand, capitalizing on its deep expertise in motors, drive controls, and component design cultivated through its home appliance sector. By the end of this year, the company aims to set up a fully automated production line for actuators at its Changwon facility. As the demand for actuators is projected to rise in tandem with advancements in physical AI and humanoid robotics, LG anticipates a burgeoning market, particularly around the year 2030. The company plans to first deploy humanoid robots at its facilities in Tennessee and Changwon and eventually expand their use into household applications as safety technologies advance.

In addition to its actuator ambitions, LG is also broadening its business-to-business appliance operations. The company’s built-in appliance and commercial laundry segments have each seen annual revenue growth exceeding 40% over the past three years. In Europe, LG is bolstering its specialized sales teams, expanding its premium built-in brands, and aims to showcase its products in 3,000 outlets by the year’s end.

Furthermore, LG is enhancing its commercial laundry business by introducing machines with larger capacities and forming new partnerships across Southeast Asia. In the European market, the company is emphasizing its high-efficiency appliances, aligning with its strategy to establish itself as a leading home appliance provider in the region by 2030. This strategic expansion reflects LG’s commitment to strengthening its position and driving growth in both the actuator and appliance sectors.
