Putin Advocates for Multipolar World Order Amid Ongoing Ukraine Conflict

by admin477351

Russian President Vladimir Putin has advocated for a transition towards a stable multipolar world order, linking the ongoing global security crisis to the confrontations between international blocs and certain nations’ attempts to secure unilateral advantages. During his speech at the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Putin emphasized the importance of resolving the conflict in Ukraine through compromise and negotiations rather than seeking a decisive victory for either side. He expressed Russia’s preference for Ukraine to maintain a neutral stance once the conflict concludes.

Putin argued that the previously dominant unipolar international system is being replaced by a multipolar order, urging for enhanced cooperation that respects the diverse interests of different countries. He highlighted Russia’s willingness to collaborate with other nations in establishing a framework that would lead to a more stable international system.

In a separate development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat use of Ukraine’s domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. Although Zelenskyy did not specify the location or target against which the missile was deployed, he indicated that Ukraine plans to move forward with its production.
